TVXQ's Changmin has shared an adorable story about his five-year-old son, revealing that the boy looks so much like him that even someone who had never met his child could recognize the resemblance.
On the November 1 broadcast of SBS's variety show My Little Old Boy, Changmin opened up about his life as a father and shared some funny moments from raising his son.
During the conversation, host Shin Dong Yup asked Changmin about his son, who is now attending kindergarten.
"I heard you have a son who's going to kindergarten. He must be so cute. How is he doing these days?" Shin Dong Yup asked.
Changmin smiled as he talked about the joys and challenges of parenting.
"He's five years old now. It's really exhausting, but he's also incredibly cute and lovable," he shared.
When Seo Jang Hoon asked who his son resembled, Changmin revealed an interesting experience that showed just how much they look alike.
According to the singer, he was once walking with his son when a company employee who had never met the child recognized him.
"I was walking with my son, and an employee from my company who had never met him contacted my manager," Changmin explained.
The employee reportedly told his manager, "I think I just saw Changmin's son while walking past."
The story surprised the hosts, as the employee was able to recognize Changmin's child simply because of their strong resemblance.
The conversation then took a funny turn when Seo Jang Hoon asked whether Changmin's son had ever been confused about his father's name.
Changmin's real name is Shim Chang Min, while he uses the stage name Max Changmin for his entertainment activities.
Seo Jang Hoon jokingly asked whether the child had ever wondered why his family name was Shim while his father's stage name sounded different.
Changmin explained that he had already talked to his son about the difference.
"I've explained to him that Dad works under the name Max Changmin, but as he already knows, my real name is Shim Chang Min," he said.
However, the explanation apparently led to an unexpected moment at kindergarten.
Changmin revealed that his son once approached his teacher and suddenly requested one of his father's songs.
"Teacher, please play Max Changmin's 'Maniac'!" his son reportedly said.
The unexpected request brought laughter to the studio, showing how familiar the young boy has become with his father's career as a singer.
Through the lighthearted conversation, Changmin gave viewers a rare glimpse into his family life, sharing both the challenges of raising a young child and the funny moments that make fatherhood special.
His story about an employee recognizing his son without ever meeting him also highlighted just how closely the five-year-old reportedly resembles the TVXQ member.
