Actress Cho Yi Hyun has shared her excitement about the long-awaited second season of Netflix's hit zombie series All of Us Are Dead, admitting that the six-year wait nearly brought her to tears.

On November 2, Cho Yi Hyun participated in an interview in Jongno, Seoul, ahead of the release of her upcoming mystery film Final Interview.

During the conversation, the actress opened up about returning to All of Us Are Dead and how much time has passed since the first season premiered in 2022.

"I'll be greeting viewers next year through Netflix's All of Us Are Dead Season 2. Counting the years, it will be six years since Season 1 came out in 2022," she shared.

She then expressed how emotional the long wait had made her.

"I've waited so long that I could almost cry," Cho Yi Hyun said.

The actress also revealed an interesting change in the upcoming season, explaining that her character will no longer be wearing a high school uniform.

"In Season 2, we'll be out of our school uniforms, and the characters will be 20 years old," she revealed.

The detail suggests that the new season will show the characters at a different stage in their lives, moving beyond the high school setting that played a major role in the first season.

Cho Yi Hyun's comments come as fans continue to anticipate the return of the popular Netflix series, which gained international attention following its release.

Meanwhile, the actress also talked about her experience playing student characters despite being 28 years old.

Cho Yi Hyun recently appeared as a high school student in the drama Summer Vacation, which was released on Wavve on October 26.

Laughing about continuing to wear school uniforms for her acting roles, she said, "Being able to wear a school uniform and act at 28 years old is a privilege."

She also discussed her upcoming film Final Interview, in which she plays Moon Hye In, a job applicant competing against five other candidates for a single position.

When asked how she related to the character's experience of being evaluated, Cho Yi Hyun explained that she had attended many interviews and auditions since her school days.

"I've always been evaluated throughout my life, so I could relate. I attended an arts high school, so I started going through interviews back then, and it was the same for university," she explained.

With Final Interview scheduled to open in South Korean theaters on November 4, Cho Yi Hyun is preparing for another project while looking forward to returning in All of Us Are Dead 2 in 2027.

Her latest comments have also given viewers a small glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming season, particularly the characters' transition into adulthood after years of waiting.
