AKMU's Lee Su Hyun has opened up about her 30kg weight loss, explaining why she dislikes being described as extremely thin and emphasizing that her goal has always been to look and feel healthy.

On October 29, Lee Su Hyun appeared on the YouTube channel *Charles Enter*, where she honestly discussed her weight loss journey, exercise routine, and the comments she has received about her changing appearance.

When asked whether she was still dieting, Lee Su Hyun admitted that she was continuing her routine but had started feeling tired of the process.

*"I'm still doing it, but it's not easy. Honestly, I'm getting tired of dieting and exercising,"* she shared.

However, she explained that losing weight was never her only goal. Instead, she wanted to develop discipline and take better care of herself.

*"It wasn't just about losing weight. I needed the process of building my willpower and taking care of myself. I worked hard for that, and the result was losing 30kg,"* she explained.

Lee Su Hyun also addressed speculation surrounding her weight loss, particularly comments suggesting that she had used the weight loss medication Wegovy.

She recalled feeling frustrated when some people dismissed her efforts by suggesting that she had simply used the medication.

*"It was a reward for all the time and effort I put into improving myself. But when people said, 'Just one click with Wegovy?' I responded, 'I didn't use Wegovy,'"* she said.

She explained that some people then interpreted her response as criticism of those who use the medication.

*"That's not what I meant. Please stop trying to pick fights with me,"* she added, clarifying that she was only speaking about her own experience.

The AKMU member then shared why she particularly dislikes the Korean expression "뼈말라," which is commonly used to describe someone who looks extremely thin.

*"I don't like the term 'skin and bones.' That's not the look I'm going for. I don't want to look that way,"* she said.

She emphasized that she was not criticizing people who prefer a very slim appearance, but that it was simply not her personal goal.

*"I'm not saying people who want that look aren't beautiful. For me, I feel that I look healthy when I'm in the mid-50kg range,"* she explained.

Lee Su Hyun also revealed that she had repeatedly seen the term used in Instagram discussions and news articles about her appearance after losing 30kg.

*"To me, that's not a compliment. I never wanted to look that way in the first place,"* she said.

She added, *"I've been doing strength training and working hard to maintain a healthy appearance, so I don't like it when people keep using that word to describe me."*

Through her candid remarks, Lee Su Hyun made it clear that her weight loss journey was about personal discipline and maintaining her health rather than meeting other people's expectations of how thin she should look.
