BTS has achieved another major YouTube milestone as the music video for 2.0 officially surpassed 200 million views, becoming the first music video from the group's fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, to reach the mark.

On October 23, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that the music video crossed 200 million YouTube views at approximately 9:30 PM KST on October 22.

The achievement comes about six months after the video was released on the official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel on April 2.

2.0 is a track from BTS' fifth studio album, ARIRANG, which was released on March 20, 2026.

With its latest achievement, 2.0 has become the first music video from the album to reach 200 million views, ahead of the title track SWIM and fellow album track Hooligan, both of which have already surpassed 100 million views.

One of the most notable features of the 2.0 music video is its tribute to acclaimed South Korean director Park Chan Wook's film Oldboy.

The video features a hallway action sequence inspired by the movie's famous hammer fight scene, using a continuous shot to create a similar cinematic atmosphere.

However, BTS adds its own playful twist to the dark action setting.

Instead of relying entirely on serious action, the members bring humor to the scene through their expressions and unexpected objects, including a back scratcher, a traditional Korean fan, and a danso, a Korean bamboo flute.

The combination of dramatic action and lighthearted moments gives the music video a distinctive style while paying tribute to one of South Korea's most recognized films.

Beyond the movie reference, the video also uses its changing locations to reflect BTS' journey as a group.

It begins in a worn-down elevator and a rough, abandoned building before moving into a luxurious penthouse.

The contrast between the two settings can be interpreted as representing the group's progress from its early struggles to its current position in the global music industry.

The choreography adds another layer to the storytelling, featuring powerful movements, carefully controlled changes in intensity, and a clear progression throughout the performance.

Musically, 2.0 combines hip-hop and trap elements with an unconventional rhythm.

The song focuses on change, personal growth, and BTS entering a new stage of their career after years of challenges and achievements.

Its lyrics reflect the effort required to reach their current position, emphasizing that the group's success did not happen overnight.

The track also achieved recognition on international music charts.

2.0 debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 4, 2026, adding another entry to BTS' list of chart achievements.

Now, with its music video surpassing 200 million views, the song has reached another significant milestone six months after its release.

The achievement also highlights the continued interest in ARIRANG, with multiple music videos from the album attracting more than 100 million views.

As SWIM and Hooligan continue gaining views, 2.0 currently leads the album's music videos as the first to cross the 200 million mark.

For BTS, the latest YouTube achievement adds another milestone to their 2026 comeback, while the Oldboy-inspired music video continues to attract attention for its combination of cinematic references, humor, and powerful choreography.
