ATEEZ’s Wooyoung shared a funny behind-the-scenes story about how his playful arguments with fellow member San have become part of their entertainment appeal.
San and Wooyoung appeared together on episode 159 of the web variety show *Salon Drip*, released on October 13.
Host Jang Do Yeon mentioned that she enjoys the pair’s YouTube content and praised their natural chemistry.
Wooyoung joked that he sometimes feels more like a YouTuber than a singer these days.
He said, *“Instead of hearing ‘I enjoy your songs,’ lately I hear two things: either comments about the chest dance or ‘I enjoy your YouTube videos.’ I hear that so often that I wonder whether I’m a YouTuber or a singer.”*
San added in a playful tone, *“Every day, all I think about is how to be funny. I just keep thinking, ‘How can I make people laugh today?’”*
The two then began casually bickering during the show, prompting Jang Do Yeon to ask whether this was normal for them.
Wooyoung replied, *“This is actually the soft version. We haven’t seen each other for a week.”*
San jokingly added, *“We normally fight a lot. If I had seen him yesterday, I probably would have thrown something.”*
When Jang Do Yeon asked whether their company ever tries to control what they say on camera, Wooyoung laughed and said the staff had essentially given up.
He explained, *“They’ve given up on us. Since people started liking us for this, when we go on shows they tell us to swear at each other and fight. So honestly, it does put some pressure on us.”*
The conversation was clearly lighthearted, with San and Wooyoung joking about how their naturally argumentative friendship became something viewers enjoy and even something staff now encourage for entertainment.
