ENA’s Between Steps, starring Choo Young Woo and Kim So Hyun, has shown an early ratings rebound after a modest premiere.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 2 of Between Steps, which aired on October 6, recorded a nationwide rating of 2.4%.

The figure marks an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the premiere’s 1.8%, allowing the drama to move out of the 1% range after just one episode.

The upward movement is notable after the series opened below 2% despite being the final work of late director Ahn Pan Seok.

Between Steps is also gaining attention beyond television ratings. According to Fundex data for the first week of October, the drama ranked No. 5 on the TV drama buzzworthiness chart.

Choo Young Woo also entered the TV and OTT drama cast buzzworthiness ranking at No. 10.

The romance drama follows Park Min Jae, played by Choo Young Woo, and Im Yoo Jin, played by Kim So Hyun, as an unexpected reunion gradually changes their relationship.

Rather than focusing on major plot developments, the series has drawn attention for its realistic emotional tone and the chemistry between its two leads.

With ratings rising from 1.8% to 2.4% in its second episode and the drama entering the buzzworthiness rankings, attention is now on whether Between Steps can continue building momentum.
