IU has unveiled a fresh short haircut in new concept photos for her upcoming digital single.
On September 8, IU’s official account released the photos with the caption, “IU Digital Single [From This Star] Concept Photo.” The images show the singer with a short bob hairstyle, marking a noticeable change from her previous look.
The new release will include From This Star and Dear My Crazy Soulmate. IU wrote the lyrics for both songs, which were originally planned for her delayed sixth full-length album.
The title From This Star and IU’s new hairstyle have drawn attention amid recent coverage of her breakup with actor Lee Jong Suk. However, the concept photos and announcement did not directly connect the new songs or haircut to her personal life.
The digital single will be released on October 10 at 6 p.m. KST. The music video for Dear My Crazy Soulmate will be released on the same day, while the music video for From This Star is scheduled to follow on October 16.
