i-dle’s Soyeon introduced her upcoming first full-length solo album A Life That Kills in an unusual and relaxed way, enjoying ramen by the Han River while giving fans an early listen to the new songs.

On August 31, Cube Entertainment released an audio snippet video for Soyeon’s first full album, A Life That Kills. Instead of using a traditional highlight medley format, the video followed Soyeon during a late-night visit to the Han River.

At the beginning, Soyeon casually explained, “I’m at the Han River right now, and yes, this is the highlight medley. I’m going to let you hear the songs from now on.”

She then ate Han River ramen while snippets of the album’s tracks played in the background.

The title track, I’m Quitting (Narr. Kian84), stood out with its bright and upbeat band sound. The song delivers a warm message about leaving worries behind and taking a chance on a new direction, giving it a theme that may especially connect with office workers feeling tired of their daily routine.

Another track, Bankroll, showed a stronger side of Soyeon through direct lyrics, powerful vocals, and a rock-based sound.

The preview also included icebluerabbit, which had previously been revealed during her concert, as well as the EDM track STAR. When STAR began playing, Soyeon put down her ramen and started dancing by the river, adding to the carefree mood of the video.

She also introduced the playful I Don’t Like Vegetables Song, even showing her bowl of ramen with no vegetables inside as the track played.

Another notable song is Amigo (Feat. Minsu), which samples Madonna’s Like a Virgin and combines the familiar element with a retro disco sound.

Soyeon later sang part of Can’t We Just Love? live, offering a brief look at the song’s more emotional side. The preview ended with Sending Away Romance, a dreamy track about the lingering feelings of love and separation, as Soyeon relaxed on a picnic mat beside the Han River.

Soyeon’s first full-length album A Life That Kills will be released on September 7 at 6 p.m. KST. Before the official release, she is also set to perform all of the album’s tracks on EBS1’s Space Gonggam on September 2.
