Kim Jae Joong found himself giving a series of funny explanations after several items inside his home in Japan raised playful questions about whether they belonged to a woman.

On the August 27 episode of KBS 2TV’s Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, Jae Joong gave viewers a look inside his home in Meguro, one of Tokyo’s well-known upscale residential areas.

During the house tour, the cast and production team began noticing small details that they jokingly described as possible “traces of a woman.”

The first suspicion came from a cute duck placed near his bathtub. When Boom questioned who it belonged to, Jae Joong immediately replied, “It’s mine. It’s my taste. I have more than 100 of those at home.”

More questions followed when the production team noticed two pillows and two pairs of slippers in his bedroom.

When asked whether he really sleeps alone, Jae Joong reacted with surprise and said, “Of course I sleep alone. Who would I sleep with?”

After the staff pointed out the slippers, he quickly explained that they were gifts from fans.

“They were all given to me by fans. Please don’t misunderstand,” he said.

The teasing continued when what appeared to be lipstick was found on his bed. Jae Joong clarified that it was actually a lip balm that he regularly carries with him.

“Why are you doing this? It’s a lip balm that I always carry around in my pocket. I still carry it now,” he explained while showing the item.

A pink toothbrush near the sink also caught the staff’s attention. Jae Joong insisted that it was not being used as a toothbrush but as a cleaning tool.

“When I finish using a toothbrush, I don’t throw it away. I keep it,” he explained.

The repeated questioning turned the house tour into a lighthearted investigation, with Jae Joong repeatedly trying to clear up each misunderstanding.

Later, he learned that the production team had apparently been encouraged to search his home for signs of a woman. During a video call, Jae Joong asked his mother about it, but she denied making such a request and joked, “No. I never said that. I’d actually be happier if there was someone.”

The playful exchange added humor to the episode while giving viewers a rare look inside Jae Joong’s spacious home in Japan.
