Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon is drawing attention after he personally approached a foreign tourist who was seen smoking inside Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The moment appeared in a recently released YouTube video showing Choi Siwon touring the historic palace in Seoul with volunteer guide Yang In Eok.
While walking through the palace grounds, Choi Siwon noticed a tourist smoking in an area where many visitors were passing by. Instead of ignoring the situation, he calmly approached the person and politely asked them to stop.
Choi Siwon said, “Excuse me, please.”
The tourist appeared to understand his request and immediately lowered the cigarette. Choi Siwon then responded, “Thank you,” ending the brief interaction without an argument or raised voices.
The moment gained attention because Choi Siwon handled the situation in a short and respectful manner rather than creating a confrontation.
Afterward, he continued his tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace while learning more about the history and cultural significance of the site.
The video also included a message emphasizing the value of freedom and peace, adding a reflective tone to Choi Siwon’s visit to one of Korea’s best-known historic landmarks.
