Park Hae Soo won Best Actor at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards for his performance in The Scarecrow.

The ceremony was held on July 31 at Paradise City in Incheon. Other nominees in the category included Kim Seon Ho for Can This Love Be Translated?, Kim Woo Bin for Genie, Make a Wish, Park Ji Hoon for Becoming a Legendary Army Cook, and Hyun Bin for Made in Korea.

After hearing his name announced, Park Hae Soo became emotional and expressed his gratitude.

He said, “I became emotional when my name was called. I sincerely thank everyone. I am grateful to stand here in front of actors I truly love and respect.”

Park Hae Soo explained that working on The Scarecrow encouraged him to grow not only as an actor but also as a person.

He shared, “While working on this project, I tried to become a more mature adult beyond being an actor. I had the honor of working with wonderful actors, and nothing made me feel more alive than that.”

He then thanked his fellow cast members and gave special recognition to Lee Hee Joon, who was not present at the ceremony.

Park Hae Soo said, “There is someone I especially want to thank. Although he is not here today, I want to thank Lee Hee Joon, who is the greatest actor in my heart.”

The actor ended his speech with a loving message for his family and revealed that his second child is expected to arrive in August.

He said, “Our second child will be born next month. My son has always brought blessings into my life. My wife is probably more nervous than I am while watching from home. I love her deeply because she always comforts me whenever I feel anxious.”

Smiling, he added, “Dad won an award. I also love our second child, Blessing.”
