DAY6 member Young K is showing strong results on music charts following his long-awaited solo comeback.
Young K released his second full-length album, YOUNGEST, on July 27, marking his first solo comeback in around two years and ten months.
The title track, Shut The Door, entered the Bugs real-time music chart at No. 1 shortly after its release. The album also topped Hanteo Chart’s daily album ranking for July 27.

YOUNGEST reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in several regions, including Hong Kong and Indonesia. All 15 songs from the album also entered Melon’s Top 100 chart, showing strong interest in the full release.
JYP Entertainment later shared behind-the-scenes photos from the filming of the Shut The Door music video. The images showed Young K smiling at the camera, holding a film slate, and posing playfully on set.
Other photos featured him walking through a wide field and spending time near a flock of sheep, matching the music video’s bright and peaceful mood.

The album title YOUNGEST uses the English ending “est,” which is often used to describe the highest degree of something. The album presents Young K’s personal answers to questions he has asked himself, with songs that reflect his current thoughts and identity.
Shut The Door was written like an honest diary entry. The song describes moments when a person closes the door and quietly tells himself that things will eventually be okay.

Listeners have praised its comforting lyrics and lively melody. Some comments described it as “a song that helps me get through another day” and “music that moves toward the door of happiness.”
Young K will begin his solo tour, Young K Solo Tour , in August. The tour will open with three concerts at Inspire Arena in Incheon from August 14 to 16.
He is also scheduled to perform in Bangkok, Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and other cities.
