Seo In Young has openly discussed undergoing arm liposuction while preparing for her appearance at Waterbomb 2026.
The singer revealed the procedure in a July 22 video uploaded to her YouTube channel, Seo In Young’s New Beginning. When the production team visited her home, they noticed bruising on her face and arms and asked about her condition.
Seo In Young explained that she had been receiving beauty treatments and working intensely on her appearance ahead of the festival.
She then revealed, “I had liposuction on my arms. I have been dieting very seriously, but my upper arms would not become slimmer no matter what I did.”
The singer said the bruising was already fading and confidently added, “I will look good by Waterbomb, so wait for it.”
When the staff asked whether she had gone through the procedure specifically because of Waterbomb, Seo In Young answered, “Of course. I put my life into it. I paid for it myself. I really spent all of my appearance fee on it.”
Although she appeared to have difficulty moving her arms comfortably during recovery, she expressed satisfaction with the early results.
Seo In Young said, “It looks more defined now. There used to be extra fat on the back of my arms, but it is gone.”
She also confirmed that the procedure was performed under general anesthesia because it took a long time and involved removing more fat than she initially expected.
Comparing it with her previous cosmetic procedures, she said, “Still, compared with having my nose done five times, this was easy.”
Seo In Young is scheduled to perform at Waterbomb 2026 at Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano on August 22. She admitted that the strong lineup and media attention surrounding her appearance had increased the pressure she felt to prepare.
She said, “The lineup is no joke. I want to lose even more weight. They are all fit, attractive, and young. At the very least, I want my face to glow and my arms to look very slim.”
The singer also revealed that she underwent the procedure without telling her father.
Seo In Young explained, “There were many articles about my Waterbomb appearance, so I felt even more pressure. My father told me to remove my nails, and I thought this was my opportunity. You cannot have surgery while wearing nail extensions. My father still does not know that I had liposuction.”
