GOT7’s Youngjae has once again publicly asked Art One Company to settle the appearance fees he says remain unpaid from the musical “Dream High 2.”
On July 20, Youngjae reposted the statement he originally shared in June and wrote, “Please complete the payment settlement, and have a pleasant Monday.”
In the earlier post, Youngjae claimed that the company had promised to resolve the matter by June 9 but had still not completed the payment.
“They said everything would be settled by June 9, but it still has not been resolved,” he wrote. “By August, it will have been almost a year.”
Youngjae also asked the company not to describe the matter as an ongoing settlement after allegedly paying only small portions of the full amount owed.
“Was I asking for money unfairly?” he questioned. “Did the time I spent practicing, my effort, and the entire process mean nothing?”
He added that he had repeatedly heard promises that the issue would be settled within the month and tagged Art One Company and its CEO, Kim Eun Ha.
Art One Company previously stated in June that it had discussed paying the remaining balance to Youngjae’s representatives before the end of that month.
However, Youngjae’s side responded that no final repayment date had been officially agreed upon.
Youngjae’s latest post appears to indicate that the payment dispute has still not been resolved.
The issue gained further attention after musical actor Peter made a separate claim on July 7 regarding payment that had allegedly been delayed for more than a year.
Peter said the company offered to settle his payment after he posted about the situation publicly, allegedly on the condition that he remove the social media post.
Art One Company has also reportedly been reported to a labor office over allegations involving unpaid wages and severance payments. The outcome of those matters has not been publicly confirmed.
Meanwhile, the company is continuing preparations for “Dream High Season 3” in collaboration with Universal Music’s creative team. It recently announced changes to the musical’s planned performance period and venue.
