fromis_9 is making a meaningful comeback with “Glow ME”, the group’s first full length album in nearly three years.
The second studio album will be released on July 21 at 6 PM KST and marks the group’s first full album since “Unlock My World” in 2023.
“Glow ME” follows the journey of finding one’s brightest self through new relationships, excitement, emotional pain, and personal growth.
The album is drawing attention because all members took part in the creative process, allowing them to include more of their own thoughts, experiences, and musical style.
Song Ha Young explained, “Each member’s thoughts, experiences, and feelings naturally became part of the album, making it feel much more like us than our previous releases.”
The album contains ten tracks, including the title song “Vitamin ME,” along with “ETERNAL,” “Pocket Treat,” “Blue Heart,” “Screen Time,” “Teacher,” “Cold Blood,” “Why Do I Cry?,” “DAY 1,” and “Wonderland.”
Several members directly participated in writing and composing songs. Park Ji Won helped create the Afrobeat inspired track “Teacher,” while Lee Chae Young and Lee Na Gyung tried a bolder sound through their unit song “Cold Blood.”
Song Ha Young and Park Ji Won also worked together on “Why Do I Cry?,” a unit track connected to the group’s personal journey. Baek Ji Heon expressed the person she hopes to become through “DAY 1.”
The title track “Vitamin ME” combines a rhythmic Latin inspired groove with a catchy melody. While keeping the refreshing energy associated with fromis_9, the song also shows the group’s willingness to explore a different sound.
Baek Ji Heon shared, “Since we are now in our ninth year, we did not want to remain in a safe and familiar place.”
With all members contributing to the album, “Glow ME” is expected to highlight fromis_9’s growing musical independence and present a more honest version of the group.
