IVE member Jang Wonyoung has shared her honest thoughts on public attention and the positive mindset that fans often call the “Wonyoung mindset.”

On July 13, Arena Homme Plus released a new photo shoot featuring Jang Wonyoung in collaboration with luxury cashmere brand Barrie.

The idol showed different sides of herself through several concepts, including clean white styling, a bold red look, and close up photos. She completed each concept with relaxed poses and expressive eye contact.

During the interview, Jang Wonyoung spoke about receiving constant attention from the public.

She said, “Like everything in the world, I do not think it is completely good or completely bad.”

Jang Wonyoung explained that public attention can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but she tries to accept every experience with an open mind.

She shared, “Of course, there can be uncomfortable parts, but I tend to enjoy those things. Whether something is positive or negative, I believe it will eventually have a good influence on me.”

She added, “That is why I try to accept everything humbly and enjoy it.”

Jang Wonyoung also discussed her famous positive attitude, which is often represented by the phrase “Lucky Vicky.”

She explained, “I do not purposely try to live positively. I have always lived this way. That is also how ‘Lucky Vicky’ naturally came out during an interview.”

She continued, “This way of thinking feels normal to me, but because people often focus on my positive side, I sometimes ask myself, ‘Why do I think this way?’ Still, I hope I can continue living like this.”

Meanwhile, IVE is currently holding its second world tour, “Show What I Am.”

The group recently completed concerts at Kyocera Dome and Tokyo Dome, attracting around 127,000 fans during the Japan leg of the tour.
