IU and rising actor Heo Nam Jun are preparing to work together for the third time in just two years.
On July 11, Heo Nam Jun’s agency H Solid confirmed, “Heo Nam Jun will appear in the music video for IU’s new album. Filming is scheduled to take place next month”.
The upcoming project continues a connection that began before Heo Nam Jun became widely known.
IU previously selected him as the male lead in the music video for “Never Ending Story”, the title track of her remake album “A Flower Bookmark 3”, released in May last year. At the time, Heo Nam Jun had not yet landed a major leading role.
He later shared how surprised and grateful he felt after receiving IU’s invitation.
“Just knowing that IU knew I existed in this world made me feel like I had no regrets left”, he said. “Every day felt like a party until the day I went to the music video set.”
Their second collaboration came through IU’s MBC drama “Perfect Crown”. Heo Nam Jun made a special appearance in episode 2 as Kim Yeon Jun, a matchmaking date for IU’s character. Despite his brief appearance, their scenes attracted attention from viewers.
Heo Nam Jun has since gained wider recognition through SBS’s “My Royal Nemesis”. He is currently filming tvN’s upcoming drama “Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid”.
Meanwhile, IU is preparing her new album after completing “Perfect Crown”. She is also scheduled to hold a concert at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in September.
With another music video now confirmed, fans are looking forward to seeing IU and Heo Nam Jun reunite for their third project.
