Netflix’s “Teach You a Lesson” is not only gaining global popularity, but it is also bringing major attention to its cast.

As of June 22, Kim Mu Yeol’s Instagram followers have passed 1.26 million. Before the drama was released, he had around 200,000 followers, meaning his follower count increased by about 5 to 6 times.

“Teach You a Lesson,” which was released on June 5, previously reached No. 1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 non English series chart. Kim Mu Yeol leads the drama as Na Hwa Jin, a field inspector at the Teachers’ Rights Protection Bureau.

The strong response to his character has also spread across social media, with many posts about Na Hwa Jin appearing on online communities and SNS.

Kim Mu Yeol is also continuing his rise in popularity after news of his upcoming appearance on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block.”

The supporting cast is also receiving more attention. Park Seo Yoon, who played influencer student Han Ye Ri, and Ok Jin Wook, who played Jo In Beom from Guun High Tech High School, have both gained interest from viewers.

Park Ji Yeon also became a hot topic after her short but memorable appearance in episode 5 as “Woo Jin’s mom.”

A photo she posted on June 6 showing her “Teach You a Lesson” script book has received more than 250,000 likes as of June 22.

The post also drew attention after Super Junior’s Kim Hee Chul left a comment, while more than 10,000 comments in different languages came from global viewers. Before the drama, Park Ji Yeon’s everyday posts usually received only dozens of comments, showing how much attention the series has brought her.

From Kim Mu Yeol to the supporting actors, the cast of “Teach You a Lesson” is now enjoying a major boost as the drama continues to grow worldwide.
