JTBC’s “Reborn Rookie” is continuing to gain attention after episode 7 passed the 8% ratings mark.
According to Nielsen Korea, the June 20 broadcast recorded 8.9% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 8.8% nationwide based on paid households.
In the episode, Hwang Jun Hyun, played by Lee Jun Young, Kang Bang Geul, played by Lee Joo Myung, and Park Bong Gi, played by Lee Sung Wook, gained the upper hand against Kang Jae Kyung, played by Jeon Hye Jin.
Their moves pushed Kang Jae Kyung into a corner and caused her to take even bolder action in the succession battle.
The Strategy Planning Team faced strong attacks at first, including attempts to damage Kang Bang Geul’s image and raise doubts about the team’s credibility.
However, they later found a chance to fight back through a business deal involving lithium and Smile Investment.
One of the episode’s key moments came when Kang Bang Geul appeared during a boardroom crisis and asked Kang Jae Kyung, “What do you think? Should I help you with the contract, President Kang Jae Kyung?” The line marked a turning point in the power struggle.
By the end of the episode, Kang Jae Kyung shocked viewers again with a chilling move. Her line, “Thank you for going crazy and running wild,” hinted that she was already planning her next step.
With Kang Jae Kyung becoming more dangerous and the Strategy Planning Team trying to stop her, viewers are now waiting to see how the succession battle will change in the next episode.
