
ITZY’s Yuna is reportedly taking on her first lead role in a drama.
According to a June 17 report, Yuna has been cast as Kim Lizzy in Netflix’s upcoming original series “Do Not Climb over the Wall”.
Kim Lizzy is described as a transfer student at Jinwol Girls’ High School who believes love is more important than anything else.
With her unique charm and cute appearance, she enters the difficult to transfer into school as a long distance runner on the track and field team.
After adjusting to her new school, Kim Lizzy begins drawing attention from her classmates by sharing stories about her former co ed school. Her talks about boys and dating slowly start to shake up the once serious and study focused atmosphere in the classroom.
“Do Not Climb over the Wall” is a teen romance about a prestigious boys’ high school and girls’ high school that stand next to each other with only one wall between them.
The story follows two competitive 19 year old student council presidents who do not want to lose to each other. Under a strict school rule where students can be expelled if they are caught dating, the characters experience a risky first love.
Yuna made her first step into acting earlier this year with a special appearance in tvN’s “Undercover Miss Hong”. She is also set to appear in a supporting role in tvN’s “My Favorite Employee”. which is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
“Do Not Climb over the Wall” will be released on Netflix and is written by Lee Na Eun, known for “Our Beloved Summer” and “Melo Movie”. Moon Sang Min and Shin Si Ah have also been confirmed as lead actors.
