Kim Jae Sun is drawing attention after honestly responding to viewers who said he looked older than his student role in Netflix’s “Teach You a Lesson”.
The actor recently appeared on the YouTube channel “Enter Seven,” where he talked about playing Chi Ho, the character known by viewers as the “Wi Fi villain” in episode 9 of the series.
During the video, Kim Jae Sun read comments from viewers and reacted in a lighthearted way. One comment said, “His eyes look too kind for a bully role. He seems like a good young man”.
Kim Jae Sun replied, “That is right. I grew up politely in Geumsan, South Chungcheong Province, under a strict father, so I think my heart is not bad.”
He also addressed a comment that praised his acting but said he did not look like a high school student. Kim Jae Sun honestly said, “I know that too. That is why I even wore a school uniform to the audition. I wanted to look younger.”
He continued jokingly, “When I watched the video, even I did not think I looked like a high school student, but my parents still said I looked like one.” He then made people laugh by quickly taking back the comment.
Kim Jae Sun added, “But I actually had this face even when I was in high school.” He also said people around him did not really tell him he looked older, before adding, “If it made anyone uncomfortable while watching, I am sorry.”
“Teach You a Lesson” was released on June 5 and follows the Teachers’ Rights Protection Bureau, an organization created to protect South Korea’s education field from students, teachers, and parents who cross the line.
Kim Jae Sun, born in 1998, debuted through a short film in 2025 and has also appeared in Netflix projects including “All the Love You Wish For” and “Bloodhounds 2”.
