SBS’s “My Royal Nemesis” is heading into its finale week with strong ratings, but not all viewers are fully satisfied with the drama’s second half.

With only two episodes left, the drama has continued to attract attention. Episode 12 recorded 10.5% nationwide according to Nielsen Korea, marking the drama’s highest rating so far.

The episode also revealed key details connected to Shin Seo Ri’s identity and the time slip mystery, raising curiosity about how the story will end.

However, some viewers are now divided over the recent story direction. While the drama was praised in the beginning for its fresh characters, fast pace, and mix of romance, comedy, and fantasy, the later episodes have received criticism for repeating similar conflicts.

Some viewers said the story often shows Shin Seo Ri, played by Lim Ji Yeon, falling into danger while Cha Se Gye, played by Heo Nam Jun, comes to help her. Because of this, some felt the drama was creating crises too often instead of naturally building tension.

The characters’ emotional changes have also received mixed reactions. Some viewers said, “I do not understand the characters’ emotions,” and “It feels like the middle process is missing”. Others believe the changes are part of the characters growing through love and relationships.

Despite the divided opinions, “My Royal Nemesis” still has strong interest from viewers. The drama has several major storylines left, including Shin Seo Ri’s fate, her relationship with Cha Se Gye, and the conflict involving Choi Moon Do, played by Jang Seung Jo.

With competing dramas like MBC’s “Fifties Professionals” and JTBC’s “Reborn Rookie” also gaining attention, viewers are now watching to see if “My Royal Nemesis” can overcome the mixed reactions and finish strongly.
