ZEROBASEONE is getting ready to expand further into the North American market with their sixth mini album “Ascend-”.
According to WakeOne, ZEROBASEONE will officially release the physical version of “Ascend-” in the United States on June 26 local time.
The album will be available through major retailers such as Target, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart, while signed versions, LPs, and photobook versions are already available for pre order through the group’s official online store.
The move is drawing attention because wide U.S. retail distribution can help boost album sales and increase the group’s chances of entering Billboard’s main album chart, the Billboard 200.
Since physical album sales still matter strongly in the U.S. market, ZEROBASEONE’s release strategy is being seen as a serious step toward stronger Billboard results.
The album also highlights the group’s growth as artists. “Ascend-” includes Park Gun Wook’s first self composed song, showing that ZEROBASEONE is not only focused on performance but also on the members’ musical abilities.
Before their U.S. release, ZEROBASEONE already showed strong results in Asia. The album ranked No. 1 on Japan’s Oricon weekly Western music album ranking and No. 1 on China’s QQ Music digital mini album chart. The group also won a Korean music show trophy, adding to their steady momentum.
With “TOP 5,” ZEROBASEONE showed a more mature and controlled performance style. Now, with “Ascend-” heading to major U.S. stores, attention is growing over whether the group can reach a new Billboard milestone.
