
JTBC’s weekend drama “Reborn Rookie” is showing strong momentum as its ratings continue to rise with every episode.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 4 of “Reborn Rookie”, which aired on June 7, recorded an average nationwide rating of 8.2% among paid households.
This is a big jump from its first episode rating of 3.7%, and the drama has now broken its own highest rating record with each new broadcast.
The drama stars Lee Jun Young and Son Hyun Joo, and follows Hwang Jun Hyun, played by Lee Jun Young, who carries the soul of Kang Yong Ho, played by Son Hyun Joo.
In the latest episode, Hwang Jun Hyun began taking stronger action as he slowly turned the situation in his favor.
Without revealing too much, the episode showed Hwang Jun Hyun forming new alliances and using a smart strategy to pressure Kang Jae Sung, played by Jin Goo.
He also worked with Kang Bang Geul, played by Lee Joo Myung, while Kang Jae Kyung, played by Jeon Hye Jin, became more involved in the growing power struggle.
The tension rose even more near the end of the broadcast when Kang Jae Kyung gave Hwang Jun Hyun a sharp warning, saying, “You judged the wrong person. Did you think I would not know who you are?”
With its ratings climbing from 3.7% to 8.2% in just four episodes, “Reborn Rookie” is gaining attention as one of JTBC’s fast rising weekend dramas.
“Reborn Rookie” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:40 PM.
