
Jun Ji Hyun’s film “Colony” is continuing its strong box office run and is now close to passing 5 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network on June 8, “Colony” brought in 603,876 moviegoers during the weekend of June 5 to 7. The film ranked No. 1 at the overall box office and reached a total of 4,727,526 viewers.
“Wild Sing” followed in second place during the same weekend, attracting 321,189 viewers and bringing its total to 540,723 viewers.
“Colony,” directed by Yeon Sang Ho, was released on May 21 and has been breaking major records among films released this year.
The movie passed 1 million viewers on its 4th day, 2 million viewers on its 5th day, 3 million viewers on its 10th day, and 4 million viewers on its 14th day.
With the film now only a short distance away from 5 million viewers, attention is growing over how far “Colony” can continue its box office success.
