Lee Min Jung has shared a personal family story behind her decision to appear in the 2016 drama "Please Come Back, Mister"
On May 19, Lee Min Jung uploaded a video on her YouTube channel “Lee Min Jung MJ,” where she looked back on the drama with Rain and talked about why the story had a deeper meaning for her.
"Please Come Back, Mister" follows people who return to life for a short time after death. Lee Min Jung said she was first interested because the drama seemed fun, but there was also a personal reason.
She carefully shared, “My most beloved male cousin left for heaven 2 years before that, leaving behind a baby.”
She explained that the story of the drama felt close to her real life because of that loss.
Lee Min Jung added, “It was so similar to the situation in the drama. He left for heaven after leaving behind a baby, and you know there is that feeling of really wanting to meet him again.”
She also said the plot, where a man suddenly dies after leaving behind his child and later stays near his family in a new body, made the drama feel even more emotional to her.
Because of her own family experience, Lee Min Jung said "Please Come Back, Mister" felt “a little more touching” when she decided to take part in it.
