BTS’s V has reached another major milestone on Spotify.

V’s “Christmas Tree,” the OST for the SBS drama “Our Beloved Summer,” has officially surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify.

With this, V now has 5 songs that have crossed the 500 million stream mark, following “Love Me Again,” “Winter Ahead,” “FRI(END)S,” and “Slow Dancing.”

The achievement marks a new personal record for V and once again proves his strong global streaming power as a solo artist.

“Christmas Tree” was released on December 24, 2021, and quickly gained attention for its warm sound and emotional mood.

The song features V’s soft voice over an acoustic guitar melody, creating a simple but touching atmosphere that matched the emotional tone of “Our Beloved Summer.”

The OST also made history on Billboard. Despite being released without a physical album, “Christmas Tree” became the first K drama OST to enter the Billboard “Hot 100,” debuting at No. 79. It also entered the “Holiday Hot 100” at No. 55.

The song also became the first K pop track to top Billboard’s “Holiday Digital Song Sales” chart and the first K pop solo song to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. “Digital Song Sales” chart.

“Christmas Tree” has continued to receive attention from overseas media as well. Billboard selected it as one of the “30 best Christmas songs of the 21st century” for 2 years in a row in 2024 and 2025, making it the only K pop song on the list.

It was also recognized by Elite Daily, Edinburgh Live, and BuzzFeed for its lasting popularity as both a Christmas song and a K drama OST.
