IU shared her thoughts on reuniting with actor Byeon Woo Seok after 10 years, drawing attention with her playful comments during the press conference for the upcoming drama ‘Perfect Crown.’
At the event held in Seoul, IU recalled their previous project together and said, “This time, he came back as a very cool character with the mindset to make up for his past mistakes many times over.”
She added with a smile that 10 years ago, he played “a boyfriend who cheated with a best friend,” making the audience laugh.
She also spoke positively about working with him again, saying that despite not keeping in close contact over the years, there was a natural comfort between them.
IU explained, “It felt like people who had prepared together for 10 years, there were almost no awkward moments,” and added that working together again made her think, “I want to work together again even 10 years later.”
‘Perfect Crown’ is set in a modern constitutional monarchy and tells the story of a romance between a woman who has everything except status and a man who has status but cannot have anything else.
The drama is scheduled to premiere on April 10.
