Wanna One’s Yoon Ji Sung is continuing to show strong global momentum as his BL drama Thundercloud Rainstorm prepares for one final overseas event after posting impressive results across multiple major platforms.
The production confirmed that Thundercloud Rainstorm will hold a fan signing event in Shanghai, China, marking the drama’s final overseas stop and giving fans one more chance to meet the lead actors in person.
Before heading to Shanghai, the drama had already built strong buzz through successful fan events in Seoul and Taiwan, where lead stars Yoon Ji Sung and Jeong Riu met fans through talk segments, games, and live performances that highlighted their on screen chemistry and helped grow the series’ popularity even more.
What is drawing the most attention, however, is the drama’s strong performance across global streaming platforms.

Thundercloud Rainstorm ranked No. 1 for three consecutive weeks on Japan’s Rakuten TV, while also reaching No. 1 on iQIYI in the Americas and Europe, No. 1 on GagaOOLala in Southeast Asia, and No. 1 on Friday in Taiwan.
The drama also made history by reaching a peak No. 2 in Wavve’s real time viewing rankings, becoming the first BL drama to achieve that result.
With the Shanghai fan signing event now set as the final overseas schedule, Thundercloud Rainstorm is closing out its run with strong global attention, while Yoon Ji Sung continues to prove that the series has connected with fans far beyond Korea.
