JTBC’s "Still Shining" finally gave viewers a long awaited romantic turning point for Park Jin Young and Kim Min Ju, but the drama is still struggling to turn that momentum into stronger ratings.

In episodes 5 and 6, the series focused on Yeon Tae Seo and Mo Eun Ah reconnecting after years apart, as the two characters slowly reopened old feelings and officially chose to start their romance again.

Their reunion became one of the drama’s biggest emotional developments so far, with the story leaning into a more mature and heartfelt relationship between the leads.

Despite that major romantic progress, the ratings continued to slide.

According to Nielsen Korea’s paid platform nationwide household ratings, episode 5 recorded 1.9% (1.080%), while episode 6 dropped sharply to 0.9% (0.896%), pushing the drama into the 0% range.

The result is especially drawing attention because the show had already been struggling in the low 1% range, and episode 6 now marks a new low.

The latest numbers also fell below the previous week’s results, when episodes 3 and 4 each recorded 1.2%, showing that even a major romance development between the main characters was not enough to stop the decline.

While Still Shining continues to highlight the warm chemistry between Park Jin Young and Kim Min Ju, the drama is now facing growing concern over its weak viewership.

With the story moving deeper into the couple’s second chance romance, attention is now on whether the series can recover from its ratings slump in the coming episodes.
