DAY6’s Wonpil is officially gearing up for a major solo return with both a new album and a rare large scale solo concert in Seoul.
JYP Entertainment announced that Wonpil will hold his ‘WONPIL SOLO CONCERT ‘Unpiltered’’ for three days from May 1 to 3 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, marking a highly anticipated solo event for fans.
The concert is already drawing major buzz, especially because it will be Wonpil’s first solo concert in about 4 years and 2 months since ‘Pilmography’ in March 2022. With the venue size and long gap since his last solo show, many fans are already expecting a fierce ticketing battle once sales begin.
Fan club pre sales for My Day 6th generation will open on April 6 at 8 PM, followed by general ticket sales on April 9 at 8 PM.
Before taking the stage, Wonpil will first make his solo comeback on March 30 with his new mini album ‘Unpiltered’, adding even more excitement to the upcoming concert.
The album is especially meaningful as it will be his first new release in about 4 years since ‘Pilmography’. It includes 7 tracks, led by the title song ‘Love Ward’, and Wonpil personally took part in writing and composing every track, raising expectations for a deeply personal and polished comeback.
With a new album arriving first and a long awaited solo concert right after, fans are closely watching Wonpil’s next chapter as both a singer songwriter and performer.
