
Actor Cho Han Gyul is drawing attention after opening up about his experience working with Park Shin Hye in Undercover Miss Hong, sharing that his emotional reactions in romantic scenes came naturally while filming with the senior actress.
Following the finale of tvN’s Undercover Miss Hong, Cho Han Gyul looked back on the drama and reflected on taking on his first lead role. In the series, he played Albert Oh, a confident and free spirited character who stood out with his playful charm and strong presence.
Cho Han Gyul admitted that he felt a lot of pressure at first, especially since it was his first time carrying such a major role in a project. However, he said the support from the cast and crew made a big difference.
He shared, “At first, I felt pressure, but the senior actors, director, and staff took great care of me. Thanks to them, I was able to work comfortably,” and added, “It was my first time taking on a big role, so I think it will remain a project I remember for a very long time.”
As one of the youngest actors on set, Cho Han Gyul also revealed that he often worried about whether he was doing well enough while working alongside veteran stars.
He honestly shared that he kept asking himself if he might become “a burden” and said he felt strong pressure every time he monitored his scenes.
Still, he made it clear that the experienced cast helped him stay grounded throughout filming. He said, “The senior actors helped me a lot, so we were able to create a good result.”
He also spoke about how much he connected with his character Albert Oh, saying that once he gets comfortable around close friends, he naturally shows a similar free spirited side.
According to the actor, he also values freedom in real life and dislikes being controlled, which made the role feel even more natural to play.
Cho Han Gyul further shared that he put a lot of thought into Albert Oh’s bold 1990s styling, explaining that he discussed the look closely with the stylist and costume team.
While he initially felt the outfits were very flashy, he said he enjoyed how well they matched the character’s playful and slightly rebellious image.
With Undercover Miss Hong now wrapped up, Cho Han Gyul’s honest comments about the pressure of his first lead role and his natural chemistry with Park Shin Hye are giving fans even more reasons to keep watching his growth as an actor.
