JTBC’s new weekend drama The Practical Guide to Love has made its debut, but its first week ratings remained in the 3 percent range.
The series, starring Han Ji Min, Park Sung Hoon, and Lee Ki Taek, premiered on February 28. According to Nielsen Korea (paid platforms nationwide), episode 1 recorded 3.1 percent, while episode 2 slightly increased to 3.3 percent.
Despite airing without major mini series competition in the same time slot, the ratings showed only a modest rise.
The drama centers on Lee Ui Young (played by Han Ji Min), who shifts from preferring natural relationships to trying blind dates, where she meets two very different men, Song Tae Seob (played by Park Sung Hoon) and Shin Ji Soo (played by Lee Ki Taek). The early episodes focused on her change in mindset and emotional confusion.
Although the cast’s performances drew some attention, the first week did not deliver a strong breakout moment that significantly boosted viewership.
Han Ji Min’s energetic acting and Lee Ki Taek’s contrasting charm added appeal, but overall, the ratings remained steady rather than surging.
With both episodes staying in the low 3 percent range, the drama’s premiere results are being viewed as moderate.
Viewers are now watching closely to see whether the upcoming episodes can create stronger momentum and lead to a noticeable ratings increase.
