Actor Jang Dong Yoon has personally announced that he is getting married this October.
On August 25, Jang Dong Yoon shared a handwritten letter on social media to inform fans directly about the news.
He wrote, “This October, I will marry someone I have been with for a long time. We plan to hold a quiet wedding service with our families present.”
Jang Dong Yoon explained that the decision came after spending many years together and learning more about each other.
He shared, “There were many thoughts and concerns before deciding to get married. As we spent a lot of time together, we came to know many different sides of each other, and through that, we understood and cared for each other even more.”
He added, “Now, we have decided to stay by each other’s side as our closest supporters and live a fun and happy life together.”
The actor also thanked fans who have supported him throughout his career and said he wanted them to hear the news directly from him.
Jang Dong Yoon wrote, “I wanted to share this news first with everyone who has always supported me and stayed with me through every moment of my journey as an actor.”
He continued, “You may be surprised by the sudden news, but I would be grateful if you could watch over us warmly.”
His future bride has been reported to be actress Kim Seung Yoon. She previously appeared in Nuruk, a film directed by Jang Dong Yoon. Jang Dong Yoon did not identify his fiancée by name in the handwritten letter.
He ended his message by promising to continue growing both professionally and personally, writing, “I will continue working hard to show a good side of myself as an actor and to live more maturely as a person.”
