MBC’s Friday–Saturday drama The Judge Returns reached its highest ratings yet as tension between Ji Sung and Park Hee Soon intensified ahead of the finale.
Episode 13, which aired on the 13th, centered on the direct confrontation between Lee Han Young (played by Ji Sung) and Kang Shin Jin (played by Park Hee Soon). As their battle escalated, sharp dialogue and psychological tension drove the episode forward.
During a strategic move, Lee Han Young pressured Kwak Sang Cheol (played by Lee Jong Hyuk), asking, “If former President Park Gwang To is released, who do you think he will go after first?” His calculated question added to the rising suspense.

Kang Shin Jin later provoked him over the phone, saying, “Find me before the police do. You need at least that much effort to clear yourself of the murder charge.” Refusing to back down, Lee Han Young responded firmly, “I started this knowing I would see it through to the end. I am not dead yet,” signaling his determination to fight back.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 13 recorded 13.6 percent nationwide and 14.9 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area, setting a new personal best for the drama. The ending scene peaked at 17.4 percent nationwide at its highest minute.
The key 20 to 54 demographic rating also scored 4.7 percent, ranking No. 1 among all programs that day. The drama secured first place across metropolitan, nationwide, and 20 to 54 viewership on Friday.
With ratings at a new high and tensions reaching their peak, the final episode of The Judge Returns will air on the 14th at 9:40 PM with a special 10 minute extension.
