BTS's Jungkook extends record run as “GOLDEN” surpasses 118 weeks and 6.7 billion streams

BTS member Jungkook is continuing his record breaking streak on Spotify, proving his lasting global impact as a solo artist.

Jungkook’s debut solo track “Seven” ranked No. 93 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for the January 30 to February 5 tracking period.

The song recorded more than 11.23 million streams in just one week, showing its steady popularity even two years after release.

With this latest update, “Seven” has now charted for 134 weeks, becoming the first and longest charting song by an Asian solo artist in Spotify history.

His first solo album “GOLDEN” also maintained strong performance, ranking No. 94 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart for the January 23 to February 5 period. The album has now charted for 118 weeks, setting another milestone as the first and longest charting album by an Asian solo artist on the platform.

In addition, “GOLDEN” recently surpassed 6.7 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, marking the highest total for a studio album by an Asian artist. “Seven” has reached 2.783 billion streams, becoming the most streamed song released in 2023 on the platform.

As of February 12, “Seven” ranked No. 69 on Spotify’s all time most streamed songs list. Jungkook’s personal Spotify profile has also exceeded 10.4 billion total streams, making him the fastest Asian artist and the first K pop solo artist to reach this milestone.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was recently announced as a global ambassador for the Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot, adding to his growing list of global achievements.

With consistent chart performance and new records, Jungkook continues to strengthen his position as one of the most successful Asian solo artists on the global music scene.
