BTS’s V sweeps Japan’s top popularity charts as he marks hundreds of weeks at No. 1

BTS member V continues to prove his strong influence in Japan, topping major popularity rankings and selling out magazines across multiple platforms.

According to Japanese idol ranking site Nehan, V placed No. 1 for 250 consecutive weeks in the male idol category during the January 5 to 11 voting period.

On K culture platform K Board, he has also held No. 1 for 216 straight weeks in the K pop idol popularity ranking. These long running results highlight his steady and lasting popularity in Japan.

V’s dominance is also seen in magazine sales rankings. The GQ Korea February issue featuring V ranked No. 1 for four days in a row in the K pop and Asia categories on Rakuten, Japan’s largest online shopping site.

The magazine also reached No. 1 best seller and No. 1 new release in the idol and celebrity category on Amazon Japan, showing strong demand from local fans.

The Vogue Japan February issue featuring V also sold out during pre orders. On Amazon Japan, different versions of the magazine took turns ranking No. 1 and No. 2 in the women’s magazine category, while official retailers such as 7net recorded No. 1 best seller rankings.

With long running No. 1 results in idol rankings and repeated top spots in magazine sales charts, V continues to stand out as one of the most popular Korean artists in Japan.
