SBS Friday-Saturday drama Taxi Driver 3 has officially wrapped up its run, leaving a big mark on both domestic and international charts.
The final episode, aired on January 10, reached a peak rating of 16.6% and an average of 13.7% in the Seoul metropolitan area, topping not only its time slot but all mini-series aired that week.
The 2049 demographic rating also climbed to 4.6%, peaking at 5.55%, proving the drama’s strong popularity and solidifying its position as one of 2026’s most-watched series.
Even before its premiere, Taxi Driver 3 attracted massive attention as a trusted hit IP. During its run, it dominated domestic ratings, media buzz, and OTT charts while also performing strongly on global streaming platforms.
According to Viu’s weekly chart for the first week of January (Dec 29 – Jan 4), the drama ranked No. 1 in major Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
In Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, Taxi Driver 3 stayed at No. 1 for seven consecutive weeks after its release. In Thailand, the subtitled version ranked first, while the dubbed version reached second, showing strong support from local viewers.
Beyond Asia, the drama also held the top spot in the Middle East for seven weeks, further proving its global appeal.
The drama’s success has made it one of the rare Korean series to dominate ratings both at home and internationally. Lee Je Hoon also made history by winning his second grand prize at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards for his role in the series, cementing Taxi Driver 3’s status as a standout hit.
Taxi Driver 3 also earned praise for its cinematic quality, with critics highlighting its well-crafted visuals, precise direction, and strong performances from the cast.
The series showed that Korean seasonal dramas can achieve both critical acclaim and commercial success, making it a global favorite.
