BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) is making waves again as his song “Winter Ahead (with Park Hyo Shin)” has been nominated for YouTube Music’s Holiday Music Hall of Fame, drawing global attention from fans.

YouTube Music announced the voting campaign on December 21 via its official Instagram, asking fans, “The ultimate battle for holiday audio control. Who will be sent to the Holiday Music Hall of Fame?”

V’s “Winter Ahead” is nominated alongside global holiday hits such as Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe”, giving the song a prestigious place among classic holiday tracks.

Fans quickly showed support in the comments, with one writing, “BTS V, Winter Ahead”, and another adding, “Kim Taehyung”, V’s real name.

Released on November 29 last year, “Winter Ahead” was co-composed by V himself. Despite being in military service at the time, the song debuted at No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the most successful jazz song launch in Spotify history.

The track has now surpassed 570 million streams on Spotify and recently overtook Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack” to become the 10th most streamed jazz song ever on the platform.

With the holiday season approaching, Winter Ahead” continues to gain momentum. As of December 20, it climbed to No. 167 on Spotify’s Global Daily Chart, up 19 spots from the day before, with 1,407,390 daily streams, an increase of 22,677 compared to the previous day.

ARMY, BTS’s dedicated fanbase, are celebrating the nomination as recognition of V’s musical talent and are actively participating in the YouTube Music vote to support the song.
