Song Kang explained that he tried to lead by example during his service, saying, “I met many people with different personalities in the army, and because of that, I think I care less about how others see me now. I feel more relaxed.”
He opened up even more about how hard he pushed himself before and during military life. Song Kang said, “I think I really worked hard… I feel satisfied. If I hadn’t lived so sincerely—studying before enlistment and writing in my journal in the military—I don’t think I would feel this fulfilled.”
Now fully discharged, Song Kang is gearing up for his official return to the entertainment world. He even landed the cover of Esquire’s December 2025 issue and has been chosen as the new ambassador for luxury brand Loewe.
