Park Jin Young showed his love for his two daughters while enjoying a fun and delicious adventure on a deserted island.

On the November 17 broadcast of MBC’s If You Rest Well, It’s Fine, Park Jin Young joined Park Jun Hyung, Son Ho Young, Kim Tae Woo, and Sun Mi as they visited a deserted island, while Boom, Ahn Jung Hwan, Danny Ahn, and Mimi watched and commented from the studio.

The group boarded a fishing boat to help with the catch and caught a wide variety of fish, including chewy amberjack, sea bream, patterned rockfish, croaker, and yellow stingray. Park Jin Young expressed excitement at each catch, saying, “It’s my first time being on a boat with so many fish.” Rare rockfish and flatfish were later prepared as fresh sashimi, which Park Jin Young eagerly tasted.

“My favorite food is kimchi stew, then sashimi,” he revealed. Tasting the rockfish, he said, “This is amazing. If I try to explain, it’s a sin. It can never be enough.” Kim Tae Woo added, “The texture is unreal. So firm,” while Sun Mi admitted, “I usually can’t eat sashimi, but this is so good.” Park Jin Young also praised croaker liver, calling it “not greasy or fishy at all,” with Kim Tae Woo adding, “It’s like butter.”

The captain also made braised dishes with flatfish, rockfish, and croaker. Park Jin Young couldn’t stop eating, saying, “Even better. It’s totally my taste,” while Chef Jung Ho Young prepared additional dishes like chili sea bass, squid sundae, and crab curry. Park Jin Young tried crab curry for the first time and said, “The seasonal crab stands out over the curry aroma.”

Even as he enjoyed the food, Park Jin Young showed his heart for family. Seeing families applying for meals for their children, he said, “I have two daughters. I hope we’re this close when they grow up.”

The day ended with a special deserted island concert featuring Park Jin Young’s debut song Don’t Leave Me, Sun Mi’s When We Disco, god’s Lies and One Candle, and the first live performance of Park Jin Young’s new song Happy Hour. He shared, “Being just us on the island was romantic and happy.”

If You Rest Well, It’s Fine will take a short break and return in spring.
