Han Ji Eun is setting the record straight about her friendship with fellow actress and Dongduk University classmate Jeon So Min.

In a recent interview ahead of the release of her new film Only God Knows Everything, Han Ji Eun revealed she was happy to reunite with Jeon So Min for the project — and even happier to clear up a rumor that they didn’t get along.

“I appeared on Running Man once when Jeon So Min was a fixed cast member,” she shared. “Before that, we only occasionally kept in touch, but meeting again on Running Man was so nice."

She added, "Since then, we’ve been in contact more often. But some viewers misunderstood and thought, ‘Maybe they don’t get along.’ I’m glad that by working on the same project now, we can clear up that misunderstanding.”

In Only God Knows Everything, premiering August 22, Han Ji Eun plays Yoon Joo Young, a violent crimes detective investigating a mysterious disappearance tied to the death of priest Do Woon’s (Shin Seung Ho) mother.

Known for her roles in Be Melodramatic, Stockstruck, When the Stars Gossip, and My Lovely Liar, Han Ji Eun said she aimed to make her detective character look “ordinary and natural,” even tying her hair simply to match a realistic on-duty style.

She also praised her co-star Shin Seung Ho, calling him a warm and playful mood maker despite his mature, tsundere-like appearance. “I was surprised to learn he’s much younger than me — we have an eight-year age gap,” she said.

Proud of her school, Han Ji Eun also mentioned, “Jeon Yeo Bin and Lee Joo Bin are juniors, and senior Park Kyung Lim is at the center of the Dongduk University Broadcasting and Entertainment department.”

With Only God Knows Everything set to hit theaters on August 22, fans can look forward to seeing Han Ji Eun and Jeon So Min share the screen — this time with no misunderstandings about their friendship.
