BTS’s Jin is proving just how powerful and loved he is, even as a solo star!
On August 5 and 6 (local time), Jin held two solo fan concerts at the famous O2 Arena in London as part of his “Run Seok Jin Tour” (#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR). Both shows completely sold out, with fans lining up early for merchandise and chanting loudly throughout the concert. The energy was electric from start to finish.
From June 28 to August 10, Jin has been traveling the world for his first solo fan concert tour, performing in cities like Seoul, Chiba, Osaka, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark, and now London. The O2 Arena shows were some of the most talked-about stops on the tour.
Known as a “live king” and “visual king,” Jin performed for two full hours by himself, showing off his perfect vocals, strong stage presence, and natural charm. He even spoke in English during the show, saying sweet things like “thank you” and “I love you,” while making heart signs that melted fans’ hearts.
The official O2 Arena Instagram account posted a clip from the concert with the caption:
“A night with Jin was truly incredible ?”
Fans also planned a touching slogan event, and the entire crowd lit up the arena with cheers, lights, and love.
According to Touring Asia Pop, Jin is now:
- The first Asian solo artist to headline the O2 Arena two years in a row
- The first Asian soloist to sell out the venue
- The first BTS member to do a solo tour in London
- The record-holder for the largest solo audience outside of Asia
Meanwhile, Pop Core confirmed that Jin made history again by being the first Asian soloist to sell out back-to-back shows at the O2 Arena.
Jin’s tour continues to sell out at every stop. His next shows are in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on August 9 and 10. The final concert on August 10 (KST) at the Ziggo Dome will also be shown through a Live Viewing event in cinemas across 80+ countries. In South Korea, the concert will be screened at major theaters like CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Megabox, and due to high demand, extra tickets were released at CGV Yeouido.
Jin’s incredible success as a solo artist continues to grow, and fans around the world are cheering him on every step of the way.
