Actress Nana is in the spotlight after boldly calling out what she saw as rude behavior from The Boyz member Sunwoo — and she’s not backing down.
It all started when a short video of Sunwoo went viral online. In the clip, Sunwoo drops his AirPods while walking but doesn’t pick them up himself. Instead, he looks down and says, “My earphones,” and a bodyguard picks them up and hands them to him, which he accepts with one hand. The video stirred debate over whether his attitude was disrespectful.
Among the many online comments, Nana simply wrote, “He needs to be scolded.” That one sentence quickly blew up, sparking intense reactions. Some praised her for speaking up, while others — especially fans of Sunwoo — slammed her for being too harsh.

After the controversy grew, Nana decided to explain herself more clearly through a fan platform. She shared, “I didn’t leave that comment to get attention or headlines. But since people are talking about it, I want to explain.” She continued, “I wasn’t trying to judge him as a person, but just that one action—it was shocking. He didn’t even take one step to pick up his AirPods. Was he expecting someone else to do it? Was it okay because it was a bodyguard?”
She added that her reaction was genuine. “I watched the video over and over, thinking I might be wrong. But the feeling was too strong. I didn’t even know who he was at first. But if someone I knew acted like that, I’d say the same thing—‘Where did you learn to behave like that?’”
Nana’s comments reignited when she appeared on the July 8 episode of YouTube variety show Salon Drip 2. Talking with host Jang Do Yeon, she opened up about her mindset:
“I try to be honest, but that means I have to act even more responsibly. I think people with influence should admit when they’re wrong and speak up about what’s right. We shouldn’t just let things slide—we need to have principles and be honest.”
Jang Do Yeon responded, “These days, speaking honestly takes real courage.” Nana laughed and agreed, “My agency always tells me to hold back. They worry a lot.” Jang joked, “If I were your manager, I’d probably argue with you all the time.”
Now, the situation has become more than just a comment—it’s sparked public discussion about how celebrities should act, what it means to be responsible, and how much honesty is too much. Despite the backlash, Nana is standing her ground, earning both criticism and respect for her straightforwardness.
Fans are watching closely as the story continues to develop, with some saying it’s time idols are held to higher standards—and others defending Sunwoo, saying the video might’ve been misunderstood.
