Joo Woo Jae is clearing up a big misunderstanding about his move to a new agency—and he’s doing it with honesty and humor!
On the July 5 episode of MBC’s ‘Hangout With Yoo’ (Ep. 287), Joo Woo Jae joined Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, and Lee Yi Kyung to help sell leftover Infinite Challenge merchandise. But the conversation quickly turned personal when the topic of agencies came up.
As Yoo Jae Suk and Jung Jae Hyung talked about being signed to Antenna, they brought up Joo Woo Jae’s recent transfer.
He had been with YG Entertainment since 2013 but is now signed with CAM, a popular agency known for managing artists like Davichi, 10CM, Car, the Garden, and Sunwoo Jung A.
Hearing the news, Jung Jae Hyung looked stunned and asked, “You? You’re with CAM? That’s the hottest agency right now!”
Even Yoo Jae Suk joined in, jokingly asking, “How did you get in there?”
Trying to defend himself, Joo Woo Jae laughed and said, “It’s not like I forced my way in!”
But Jung Jae Hyung kept teasing him, saying,“Weren’t you with YG? Why would you go there? You’re not even a singer or an actor!”
Joo Woo Jae finally shared the truth, “The actor division at YG shut down. I didn’t leave. I got kicked out. My team disappeared!”
