BTS’s Jungkook becomes first K-pop soloist to have a song chart 100 weeks on Spotify Global

Jungkook of BTS just made history again — and this time, it’s all thanks to his hit solo track Seven!

On June 12, Spotify revealed that Jungkook’s debut solo single Seven ranked No.79 on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart (for the week of June 6–12). This marks an incredible milestone — the song has now stayed on the chart for 100 consecutive weeks, making it the first-ever song by an Asian solo artist to achieve this feat.

Released in July 2023, Seven continues to prove Jungkook’s global power nearly two years later.

But that’s not the only chart he’s dominating.

Jungkook’s solo album GOLDEN, released in November 2023, also ranked No.69 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart for the same week. It has now spent 84 total weeks on the chart — the longest-charting album by any Asian solo artist in Spotify history.

Even during his inactive period, Jungkook’s popularity hasn’t slowed down. He jumped 10 spots to land at No.181 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Artists Global chart — marking his 107th week on the list.

Seven has already broken multiple streaming records on Spotify:

  • Fastest song in Spotify history to reach 100M, 900M, 1B, and 1.1B streams
  • First and fastest Asian artist’s song to surpass 2.4 billion streams
  • First Asian song to top Daily Top Songs Global for 71 total days
  • Topped Weekly Top Songs Global for 9 weeks, the longest by any male artist in 2023

And that’s not all.

GOLDEN also became the first album by an Asian solo artist to reach over 5.7 billion cumulative streams on Spotify.

Adding to his long list of achievements, Jungkook’s personal Spotify profile just surpassed 9 billion total streams, making him the first K-pop soloist and the fastest Asian artist ever to hit that number across all his credited tracks.

Even while on break, Jungkook continues to prove that his impact is lasting, powerful, and truly global.
