On April 14, Uhm Ki Joon appeared on the YouTube channel Salty Brother Shin Dong Yeop with actor Kim Soo Ro. During the episode, Uhm Ki Joon opened up about his life since getting married in December last year. Although they had been living together for over a year before their marriage, Uhm Ki Joon admitted that not much had changed. In fact, he was so busy with his performances that he didn’t even have time to experience a “honeymoon” vibe right after their wedding.

The most talked-about moment came when Uhm Ki Joon revealed his wife’s age. Host Shin Dong Yeop mentioned how he was initially concerned about the age gap between the couple but was reassured by the joyful expressions of the bride’s parents during the wedding.

To everyone’s surprise, Uhm Ki Joon confirmed that his wife is in her 30s, explaining, "My father-in-law talks a lot, but he really helped create a good atmosphere. I also tried hard to make a good impression." He also recalled how quickly he became close to his in-laws, with his brother-in-law even inviting him to stay over on the night of the wedding. “I felt like I had already passed the test as a son-in-law,” Uhm Ki Joon laughed.

As for how they met, Uhm Ki Joon shared that their first encounter was very natural. He explained that they were introduced through mutual friends at a casual drinking party. “I was the one who made the first move and asked for her number,” Uhm Ki Joon laughed. “The next day, I texted her to recommend a good restaurant.”

The conversation then shifted to his famous kissing scenes in the drama The Penthouse. Uhm Ki Joon had some steamy kiss scenes with actresses Kim So Yeon, Eugene, and Lee Ji Ah, which sparked rumors that he might have been involved in writing or directing those scenes. Laughing, he denied the rumors, saying, “I didn’t help with that stuff. I don’t even have that kind of money!”

When asked if his wife is okay with his on-screen kisses, Uhm Ki Joon responded, “Since getting married, I haven’t done any kissing scenes. It’s part of the job, so I think she’d understand.” However, Kim Soo Ro joked, “Still, you’ll end up fighting about it,” making everyone laugh.
