BTS’s Jungkook just keeps breaking records, and this time, he’s earned a huge achievement with his hit single Seven! The song has officially surpassed 100 million streams on the Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart), earning him a prestigious Platinum certification in the streaming category.
Released in July 2023, Seven has been a massive success, marking Jungkook’s first-ever Platinum certification as a solo artist. The Korea Music Content Association (KMCA), which operates the Circle Chart, awards Platinum status for songs that reach 100 million streams, and Seven has clearly earned its place in music history.
But that's not all—Jungkook’s musical journey has been a series of major wins! His first solo album, GOLDEN, released in November 2023, surpassed 2 million sales, earning a Double Million (2M) certification. The Weverse-exclusive version of the album also hit 250,000 sales, securing a Platinum certification.
Jungkook’s dominance on the Circle Chart is undeniable. In 2023, he topped the "Global K-Pop" daily chart a record-breaking 157 times, the most by any artist that year. His solo track Standing Next to You even held the No. 1 spot for eight consecutive weeks.
GOLDEN also topped the "Top 15 Cumulative Physical Album Sales of 2023" list, with over 2.7 million sales, beating all other K-pop soloists.
But Jungkook’s success isn’t limited to Korea. Seven has sold over 2 million units in the U.S., earning it a Double Platinum certification. It’s also received impressive certifications worldwide:
Double Platinum in Canada (160,000 units)
Platinum in New Zealand (30,000 units)
Platinum in Japan (100 million streams)
Gold in Belgium (20,000 units)
Silver in the UK (200,000 units)
