BTS’s Jin once again proved his immense popularity by being crowned a “Donation Fairy” on the idol voting app Idol Champ for his birthday on December 4th. His fans, known as ARMY, came together to celebrate his special day in a big way, securing Jin’s place at the top with a mind-blowing 123,656,296 votes.
This achievement not only made Jin the 688th Idol Champ Donation Fairy, but it also highlighted his global appeal. The app awards this title to idols who receive more than 55,555,555 votes on meaningful occasions. Jin's massive vote count was nearly double the requirement, showcasing the strength of his dedicated fans.
This wasn’t Jin’s first time earning the title—back in September, he was also named a Donation Fairy to mark his 11,600th day since birth. With this latest win, Jin has now achieved the title a total of 20 times, resulting in 10 million KRW (around $7,500 USD) in donations through the platform. For his birthday, 500,000 KRW (approximately $375 USD) will be donated in his name to the Miral Welfare Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
Fans didn’t stop there! They flooded social media with heartwarming hashtags like #ThanksToSeokjin, #YourHappiness_MyHappiness_HappyJinDay, and #OurHappiness_JinDay, spreading love and birthday wishes for Jin across platforms.
In addition, Jin ranked #1 in Idol Champ’s “Sagittarius Idols” poll, which took place from November 7 to November 24. Out of 56,657 votes, he claimed 30,198 votes, securing over 53% of the total. As a result, a sliding banner celebrating Jin’s birthday will be featured on the app for an entire week starting December 4.
But the good news doesn’t stop there! According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, Jin’s solo album Happy reached over 250,000 shipments in November, earning a Platinum certification. This marks Jin’s first Platinum as a solo artist, following his Gold-certified single The Astronaut.
