BTS member Jin opened up about his thoughts on the group's global success. On October 29, the YouTube channel "Dongnae Star K" released a video titled "I Won't Say Much. Our DongSke is World Class, Right? BTS Jin Can Do It?"
During the video, host Jonathan asked Jin if he ever felt like BTS had truly "made it" after several years since their debut. Jin humbly replied, "I don’t think I’ve ever really felt that way. As I worked hard, this moment is where I ended up. I never thought, 'We succeeded' at any particular moment." Despite his modesty, Jin showcased his world-class talent by representing Korea in the torch relay for the "2024 Paris Olympics." He added, "I didn't expect to be interviewed in Korean in a foreign country, and I was surprised by that too."
As the first member of BTS to complete military service, Jin shared his experiences, saying, "When I first entered, there was no one to share my feelings with. All my friends have been in the army for over ten years, so our talks often started with 'Back in my day.' After I became a sergeant and life got easier, I told the members not to worry and that things would be fine with time." He mentioned his popularity in the military, explaining, "I never scolded the kids. Even after working in this industry for over ten years, I still have so much to learn, so I don’t understand why someone would be scolded for not knowing something. I always thought it was okay not to know, and I was very nice, even spending money on them."

Jin expressed his deep bond with BTS, saying, "Considering the time we've spent together, we’ve been almost inseparable for about 12 years." He recalled how he initially told J-Hope not to come after his discharge, but changed his mind since the other members couldn’t attend.
He also talked about his close friendship with Baek Jong-won, saying, "Baek Jong-won is someone I can truly call a close friend. We call each other every day. I prefer texting, so I don’t call often. Whenever I text him about something, he always calls back. We also play games together, so he’s the person I see most often among my acquaintances."

Jin noted that he doesn’t have many contacts saved on his phone, saying, "When I look at the people around me, I see they have 2,000 to 3,000 contacts because of work. Even with all the company people and friends, I only have about 120 contacts. I want to get to know more people, but I don’t have the opportunity. We always film only among ourselves, and I don’t like going out, so people think it's hard to see me and don’t invite me. I wish they would invite me out."
In exciting news, Jin will release his solo album "Happy" on November 15, and he shared the pre-release track "I’ll Be There." He described the song as "upbeat" and made it so that many people could sing along, reflecting his personality. He said, "It’s easy, simple, and straightforward. The whole album is structured that way; I think it will be easy to listen to. There are some difficult songs out there, but I aimed to convey clear emotions this time."
Jin added, "Three days after my discharge, I decided on 2-3 songs. Producer PDok knows me well, so he created it tailored to me." Fans are excited to hear more from Jin!
